2022 NXTSTAGE FinTech Competition
This innovation program allows FinTech startups from around the world to present their innovative technology solutions to prospective customers in Kansas that they otherwise may not have been able to access. Startups offer potential technology tools – ready to be pilot tested or fully deployed – that can help financial institutions enhance their digital offerings and improve their operations. Applicants compete to gain market feedback and earn pilot tests and paying customers.
The program’s pilot partners – community banks, credit unions and financial services businesses in Kansas – get to collaborate with startups and become early adopters of next-generation solutions, curated from among the crowded field of FinTech offerings.

The 2021 competition attracted 107 diverse competitors from 27 states and 9 countries. The program’s 12 finalists offered technology tools that helped pilot partners better serve ‘credit invisible’ and underbanked community segments; promoted financial literacy, debt repayment and home-lending equity; enhanced security with modern identity verification tools; enabled them to better serve small-business customers; improved internal analytics and operational tools; and execute hyper-targeted marketing efforts.
